Giorgia Mannaioli is Ph.D student in General and Applied Linguistics at the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Performing Arts, Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy).
Her project’s working title is: Theoretical and Experimental Perspectives on Potentially Manipulative Strategies of Implicit Encoding of Information in Political Discourse. A focus on Vagueness, Metaphors and Hyperboles.

Her main research interests are in the fields of general linguistics; psycholinguistics; persuasive and manipulatory communication; figurative, vague and implicit communication strategies and their processing; political discourse, social and media propaganda.
