Paola Vernillo is a post-doc researcher of Linguistics at the University of Florence and tutor of General Linguistics at the University of Bologna. Her main research interests are in the fields of General Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Cognitive Semantics, and Metaphor studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the University of Florence and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she defended a thesis on the relationship between metaphorical processes and action events representation. She joined the PRIN project “IMPAQTS” in 2020.
